Civil society organizations web elects Ramzia Al-Eryani |

In their founding meeting which wrapped up on Thursday, civil society organizations web elected Ramzia Al-Eryani as its chairman, following a contest with other 16 ladies.
The meeting attended by 54 participants aimed to forming an institutional entity incorporating all those organizations working in the field of poverty reduction.
The web dedicated the two-day meeting to discussing the achievement of a partnership with the government in a way that serves accomplishing the plans of the millennium development goals, the third five-year plan for social and economic development 2006-2010.
Meanwhile, chairman of Arab Sisters Forum Amal Al-Basha was honored with an honor award given by the Coalition for International Criminal Court during the activities of the 6th meeting of countries that approved the international treaty relating to establishing the International Criminal Court.
Al-Basha is the coordinator of the coalition in Middle East and North Africa and she gifted the award to late Dr. Ali Subih, coordinator of the coalition in Iraq and his fellow Osama Al-Aubidi, who were assassinated last October in Basra.
