Dear Aunt Noor, I’m a 14-year-old boy. I always be the first in my school in grades. After my father traveled to Saudi Arabia and while I was in grade 8, my school’s English branch closed, so I studied in the other School branch. I didn’t like studying there because it was far from my home and the students were so dreadful. Therefore, I returned back to the first branch of the school but enrolled in the Arabic section. When my father came, I tried to go to another English school but I saw that the education there was not good. Aunt Noor, please tell me whether the problem is me or the society? Why is there always bad people wherever I go? Should I study in this school or change? Regards, H.H Dear H.H, Thank you for your question which shows how responsible you are though your young age. First of all, it was not clear in your question why you always change your school whenever your dad comes or leaves. Did he ask you to do so in the two times you mentioned or it just happened by chance? From different experiences I have seen from students doing that, it was clear how that affects the students’ level badly. Soon you will go to high school and it is time for you to decide whether to continue in the Arabic or English section without changing until you finish school. My dear son, about your second part of the question, I don’t want you to worry too much about things which you don’t have a hand in it. I want you to keep in mind that we are not living in a completely righteous society. Whether we like it or not, we have to deal with good and bad people without letting that affect our psychology in a negative way. When seeing something good in others, we try to imitate it and when facing the opposite, we thank God that we are not that bad and try to avoid doing that bad thing. This is life and no one is perfect. The same way you see bad things in people, people see bad things in you, even though they don’t tell you. It is not logical to run away whenever we see people we don’t like. So what I want you to focus on now is to think carefully about which section you want to continue in and immediately find a school with a good reputation and get enrolled there. In that school, find the good and polite students and get close to them. Wish you all the success in your life.
