Dear Aunt Noor, I am a thirty-year-old man. I am an unlucky person. I belong to a poor family and when I grew up and went to school, I faced a lot of unfairness. I always feel that people don’t love me. Many things in my life changed because of that. For example, I don’t know why I always have teachers who don’t give me the grades I deserve. That happened to me since I started school until I finished university. Now I am working in a private company, but bad luck is still accompanying me. My manager raises my colleague’s salary many times while I still have the same salary for a long time. Tell me what should I do? Abdul Salam
Dear Abdul Salam, The solution to your problem in summary is to take off the black glasses you are using to see life through. I can feel the pessimistic look for life from your short letter. Who told you that when you belong to a poor family that you are unlucky? I think your situation was better than a person who was been thrown to the street after being born from anonymous parents!! Also, why would all teachers hate you and give you low grades? What would people gain or benefit when they don’t give you high marks? It could happen that one or two teachers through your studying life might be unfair to you, but I completely don’t agree with you that all teachers in different classes hated you. Besides, you mentioned that the company you work in is treating you also in a bad way!! From all what you mentioned in your letter, I can understand that you are a kind of person who doesn’t know how to be responsible for his actions. Instead of that, you like to hang all your failures on others. My advice to you is to think about your way of life, and learn how to be responsible about all your actions. Whenever something bad happens to you, ask yourself “What was the wrong thing I did and caused me that?” and never think that what happened was because people meant treating you bad or that fait was against you. Finally, be sure that if you believe that you are lucky you will find yourself the luckiest person in the world. Good luck
